Artquest provides comprehensive advice and information to London's visual arts and crafts professionals at all stages of their careers. DISABILITY CULTURAL PROJECTS

Disability Cultural Projects (DCP) Community Interest Company was established in 2008 by Geof Armstrong and Silvie Fisch. The aim of the organisation is to further the cultural equality of Deaf and Disabled people / Deaf, Disability arts practice in the UK and internationally, and to evolve new approaches to the way these are delivered. Geof and Silvie used to work for the National Disability Arts Forum (NDAF), a national charity that had been in existence for 17 years and was closed down in February 2008. DCP continues some of NDAF's work, such as the free weekly newsletter EtCetera and Arts Access UK, a national online Access database.

ASSOCIATION OF SIGN LANGUAGE INTERPRETERS

ASLI is the professional association for sign language interpreters in England, Wales and Northern Ireland.

is a charity which provides access to the theatre for deaf, deafened and hard of hearing people through captioning. Captioning is similar to television subtitles; the actors' words appear on a display unit (or units) installed on or near the stage at the same time as they speak or sing. SIGNED PERFORMANCES IN THEATRE

SPIT is a group of theatre companies and venues working hard to encourage sign language interpreted performances for people who are Deaf and Hard of Hearing, increasing access to theatre in all its forms for members of the deaf community. VEE-TV

VEE-TV is Channel 4's programme for young deaf and hard of hearing people. Particularly targeted to the 17-25s it is topical and fast moving. VEE-TV is set in internet cafes around the country and encourages its audience to get involved.
Ideas can be submitted and the programme encourages and transmits the work of talented young film makers. The programme features a weekly drama serial called RUSH featuring the lives of deaf and hearing college students. The programme was short-listed for the Broadcast Best New Programme Award and will return for its third series in Spring 2003.

THE ROYAL ASSOCIATION FOR DEAF PEOPLE

RAD is a registered charity which was founded in 1841.
