Real stories, real people
Beyond the Barriers is a series of six postcards depicting positive and empowering images of disabled people challenging barriers to work, education, transport, and day-to-day life.
The postcards’ powerful, simple and accessible designs carry strong portraits and powerful testimony from among the UK’s millions of disabled people. The set of postcards are designed to fill a new space in the home, in the office or in the community.
Beyond the Barriers came about because producer and director David Hevey saw a vacuum around images showing the depth and breadth of modern disabled people and the unifying notion of barriers they face.
A pack of six postcards costs only £3 (including postage and handling). Any additional packs cost only £1. Buy now!
