Mentoring Training

Introduction

This part of the programme is for experienced deaf and disabled professionals who are interested in sharing their skills. The free comprehensive training programme provides a foundation to give advice and guidance through a mutually beneficial mentoring relationship.

The free three day training course takes place over three days at Shape’s offices in North London. Following successful completion of the training course, participants will become part of the Link Up pool of mentors and will be matched to applying individuals in terms of skills and interests.

Access and travel costs are covered for each meeting. Mentoring rates are £125 and £75 dependent on the number of sessions completed.

Who should apply?

The Mentor training scheme is for established deaf and disabled professionals who are interested in sharing their skills and experience. Please note that being accepted onto the training programme does not guarantee being offered work, but Link Up will endeavour to match all trained mentors with applicants and we welcome suggestions for new participants in the scheme.

I do have an awful lot of experience that sometimes feels like it is going to waste so I jumped at the chance of being a Shape mentor.
