Link Up
Shape's Link Up programme has provided career development and training for more than 1,000 deaf and disabled people in London.
A three-year programme funded by the London Development Agency, Link Up's flexible training programme has provided invaluable insights and practical information on finding employment and developing a career.
It comprised career development days, business-orientated seminars, mentoring training, mentoring sessions and advice and guidance (employment support) sessions, as well as events for potential employers.
The programme has had a particular focus on working in the arts and cultural sectors because of Shape’s expertise and experience in this area, but has supported all deaf and disabled people regardless of their career choice and interests.
Shape has produced a Link Up Referral Document to that can point you in the direction of hundreds of other programmes, training opportunities and potential funders.

I recently read about the Link Up programme in an email newsletter from Shape and was delighted that such a programme now exists for aspiring artists; I would have loved to be able to access something like this in the early stages of my career.
