The Shortlist Exhibition

 

The exhibition will show the strength in depth of work from artists that applied to the bursary.

The Adam Reynolds Memorial Bursary

 

The Adam Reynolds Memorial Bursary offers one disabled or deaf visual artist a £5,000 award along with a residency in a visual arts venue each year. The recruitment pack for the 2010 Bursary award is available now!

  • Shape Artist Commissions showcases
  • Shape has commissioned four disabled artists and disabled-led companies to develop work that responds to the themes of the Cultural Olympiad.

    The Artist's new works will be presented at the Southbank Centre in May and July 2009.

    This project has been granted the London 2012 Inspire mark as part of the Cultural Olympiad.

  • Future Leaders
  • Shape’s Future Leaders programme has provided advice and training to open up the whole process of being a board member, trustee or committee member to Deaf and disabled people.

    You can now download the Future Leaders pack, which gives you information on the process of governance and examples of best practice.

  • With funding from Arts Council England, Shape has produced a range of online resources for deaf and disabled creative professionals including Creative Lives, Artist Resource Pack and the Rough Guide to Access to Work.

  • Eight galleries worked with disabled and deaf people from their communities in Spring 2008.
    The Explore handbook, a practical handbook for galleries, based on these experiences, was launched in January 2009 and is available from Engage.
