London Disability Arts Forum and Shape are launching a new tool for deaf and disabled artists to promote their work to potential employers.  D-art will give disabled and deaf people working in the arts and creative industries in Greater London a direct line to employers and commissioners.

This unique online resource is for all disabled and deaf individuals working in the arts: arts managers, designers, writers, actors, sculptors, musicians and more! For the very first time prospective employers will be able to see the talents of disabled and deaf people in the arts all in one place!

D-Art is the sort of information resource that it is vital to the success of disabled people’s careers in the art. If Arts employers want to use a disabled person, or have an inclusive attitude in getting the right person for a job, then having a database like D-Art will be just what they need to find them. Therefore, we as disabled artists should all sign on to this and make it one of the most comprehensive lists of disabled artists available to the arts world.”
Quote from Matt Fraser

d-art provides a major opportunity for  disabled and deaf artists and creative professionals to profile themselves and to promote their work and skills.  It includes:

• Anyone from privately practicing artists, to artists running participatory projects in schools, to consultants working in the sector.
• Practitioners working in all art-forms, disciplines and mediums.
• Artists and arts professionals from the most well-established to those starting out.

"Data bases like this can work their own special alchemy - a multi media company called Braunarts contacted me through such a data base and three years on we are still together working strong!"
Quote from Maria Oshodi

Employers from TV, Film, Theatre, Media and Festivals have already shown interest in using d-art to commission work.  Don’t miss this great opportunity to show off your skills to them.
