Royal Free Hospital School and Melodie Holliday Melodie Holliday worked with a group of learners at Royal Free Hospital School on a six week project using applique and mixed media fabric work techniques. Melodie inspired the group with the quote 'art makes people powerful' to create collages that later acted as a basis for applique work. Melodie shared her personal experiences of schooling, qualifications and creative journey to becoming the established artist and musician that she is today. "I really enjoyed the project because I made my own t-shirt and now I enjoy art more as it inspires me." - Learner aged 14 "The project enabled the students to have more opportunity for independent thinking, and increased feelings of ownership over their work.
