Adam Reynolds Memorial Bursary recipient Oliver MacDonald is in residence at Turner Contemporary, Margate until 7 May. Join Oliver for one of his two free willow weaving workshops on 31 March and 7 April in Turner Contemporary's Clore Learning Studio.

Traditionally trained as a willow weaver, Oliver is spending his three-month residency exploring willow weaving and its materials through a conceptual lens, creating large-scale, performative objects and installations on-site. During this workshop you will pick up some basic willow weaving skills and learn how to make your own garden plant obelisk out of willow. Materials are provided and the workshop is suitable for ages 16 upwards.

Workshop dates:

  • 7 April, 2 - 5:30pm, Clore Learning Studio, Turner Contemporary
