Shape is looking for a small group of volunteers to assist us with an upcoming public-facing event!

Would you like to help run exciting and innovative events in a major London art venue? A chance to learn to get a face-to-face insight into inclusive arts practices? And would you like to see how artists interact with the public?

We are looking for volunteers to support a public-facing London arts event in March 2019, by invigilating, greeting visitors, providing some technical support, helping install and de-install the events, and conducting audience surveys.

Key dates you must be available are between 20 to 24 March 2019. You don’t have to be available each day, but ideally two or more so we can establish a working rota. An honorarium (small fee) per day of attendance will be provided.

Applicants must:

    • Be practical, for example, assisting with moving artworks, or helping to assemble work stations and workshop equipment

    • Be confident in dealing with the public and explaining information to them, ideally with some customer service experience, or experience of conducting face to face surveys or evaluations

    • Be friendly and a good team-player, willing to support other colleagues and get involved with the projects

    • Be committed to promoting diversity, equality and inclusion, as well as good safeguarding practices
