Banner image: An image of a framed portrait artwork. Mounted on card within a wooden pink and lilac pastel frame is a red pencil line portrait of a young woman facing away from the viewer. In the portrait the woman, who has one eye, peers at an old fashioned mirror.

Artist Statement: c. mae bloom, based in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, works between mediums, exploring the way objects, particularly used, lost, or handmade, carry a multitude of meanings and can interact to form new significance. Whether seeking out or generating these stories through re-contextualisation and presentation, bloom weaves together big and small, old and new, geographically and temporally dislocated narratives in an effort to materialise the superabundance we are all wading through.
