Latest Shape collaboration:Justin was a selected artist for the Adam Reynolds Award Shortlist in 2022, where he exhibited as part of the shortlist exhibition, The Many Costs of Living. He was also an exhibiting artist in Shape Open 2016, 2017 & 2018 exhibition.

Artist Statement: Justin Piccirilli (he/him) is currently completing an MA at the RCA. His work is inspired by his journey through his rehabilitation from a life-changing accident. He raises questions about current social issues such as inequality, disablism, mental health, and the body in crisis.

The interdisciplinary nature of his practice enables him to experiment with different media from installation to sculpture, dry-point etching, screen printing, and interactive real-time 3D media. At present, he is focusing on using extended reality, coding, and medical data to develop this narrative.

He was People's Choice Award winner of our annual exhibition, the Shape Open, with his piece Stone of stumbling, rock of offense in 2016 and is included as one of the artists in our 2018 Open at The Art Pavilion, Mile End.
