Our work Our creative programme Adam Reynolds Award You Still Make Me Crawl - Guy Morris Guy's artist profile Return to all artworks Two hands, driven by a pulley and crank system, crawl slowly up a slope. It’s a sure and steady motion, controlled by you, the audience. But despite the motion, the hands won’t travel anywhere at all. This kinetic sculpture reflects the relentless struggle faced by disabled people, navigating shifting policies, endless assessments, and everyday physical barriers. The act of crawling becomes a metaphor for resilience, resistance, and the fight for access in a world that too often forces people to struggle inch by inch toward the support they need; an effort which in many circumstances, proves futile.
