Animate was a disability, art & history project aiming to inspire and encourage disabled people who would not normally engage with culture to become interested in art - for enjoyment, skills development and self expression, though a series of workshops and talks.

We held an exhibition, four 'Meet the Artist' talks and four workshops during Feb and March 2010. Each event was followed by a facilitated discussion and critical debate, giving learners a vehicle to respond to art works that look at disabled people's identity issues and how this links into The Disability Arts Movement and Disability Rights as a whole.
