The Foyer Federation

The Foyer Federation is a not-for-profit organisation that helps to transform the circumstances of young people who have faced barriers in their lives. Our ground breaking campaigns and initiatives are led through a network of 120 accredited learning and accommodation centres known as ‘Foyers’. These Foyers provide up to 10,000 16-25 year olds per year with mutually agreed, tailor-made programmes which give the young people access to housing, learning, personal development, training and employment opportunities in line with their needs and goals.

Working through our network and by forging new partnerships, the Foyer Federation will continue to provide high quality leadership in the field of youth development.

Positive Directions
Positive Directions is about helping young people to get on with their future!
It’s for young people who are not currently in education, training or employment.
Skills Training UK delivers Positive Directions at its own centres in London and offers a range of advice, support and courses including:

• 1-2-1 advice, information and guidance from a mentor on what to do next
• Help to get onto a course, a job with training or a job with an apprenticeship
• Access to additional help and support e.g. English, Maths, ICT, CV writing and interviews
Each young person gets the support they need, which includes addressing any individual issues or concerns.
