This is a poem set to music and film recorded at a 2025 protest against benefit cuts, ‘Welfare not Warfare’, organised by Disabled People Against Cuts (DPAC), taking place in Parliament Square on a very hot day. Contact microphones were fitted to the artist’s wheelchair to capture sounds as it rolled over cobbles on his journey to the demonstration. A GoPro camera was attached to his head as Ivan directed his camera operator to film footage of the protest.
