Our story Our people Artists Kristin Rawcliffe Latest collaboration: Kristin's work Red Tape was exhibited as part of the 2025 Shape Open exhibition Rights Cuts Action Artist statement: Kristin Rawcliffe is a Reading-based painter working primarily in oils, while also exploring drawing, printmaking, and sewing. Influenced by Paula Rego’s politically charged work on social inequality, she creates art that amplifies overlooked voices and reframes underrepresented experiences through narrative and material choice. Her practice centres on the belief that art should reflect the full spectrum of society, not just a privileged subset. While recent work has focused on motherhood, she is equally committed to representing the marginalised, those living with poor mental health, and stories erased from the art canon. By engaging with these subjects, Kristin seeks to offer them a more active presence in the visual arts. A mature student, Kristin earned her MA in Fine Art from the University of Reading with Distinction, receiving the Owen Ridley Prize for her achievements. Since graduating in 2021, her work has been exhibited in London and across the UK. Visit Kristin's website Manage Cookie Preferences
